Abstract

The main objective of present-day geology is accurate deep forecast of commercial deposits. Since deep mining of useful mineral resources is profitable only for large and rich deposits, the highly accurate deposit forecast system is developed. This system makes it possible to estimate all commercial parameters of deep ore bodies on the basis of surface investigation (geological, geophysical, geochemical, etc.) prior to the exploration drilling: their size and reserves, content and grade of useful mineral resources, and deposit occurrence depth. These data can be used as the basis for the evaluation of deposit development profitability and exploration expediency. The application of new forecast system improves in ten times the geological branch efficiency and has already resulted in the discovery of seventy deposits of eighteen useful mineral resources estimated at 17 billion dollars.
