Abstract

The sustainability of human capital is important for the sustainability of social development. It is determined by the dynamics of the socio-professional groups of the employed population, which form human capital. The macroeconomic impact of these groups on labor productivity and wages is ambiguous. The increase in workers with higher education is closely related to the performance indicators of wages and salaries in the economy as a whole and almost all types of economic activity; groups with primary and secondary vocational education, their growth in most industries negatively affects productivity; in construction, the growth of labor productivity depends positively on the growth of workers without professional education. It is concluded that the stability of human capital development is due, first of all, to the stability of a group of workers with higher education and outlines ways to raise it.
