Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the current state and trends in the development of education in the context of the use of distance technologies. The article presents: a brief overview of the international standard classification of education, an analysis of the education system in the Russian Federation, the history of the development of distance education in Russia, determining the place of online courses in the education system. The article is of an overview nature.
