Abstract
The processes of sustainable development of regions are investigated by changing the indicators of environmental impact in the subjects of the Siberian Federal District and part of the Far Eastern Federal District. The “eco-intensity” indicator is used as such an indicator. This indicator determines the degree of negative impact on the natural environment per unit of the result of economic activity. The tendencies of changes in the eco-intensity of emissions of pollutants from stationary sources (including the most common pollutants) in different time intervals have been determined. It has been established that in recent years the number of subjects of the studied federal districts has increased, characterized by a decrease in the specific environmental load.
KEYWORDS: eco-intensity, Siberian and Far Eastern federal districts, emissions from stationary sources, sustainable development.
